Georgia Botanical Gardens' December Nights and Holiday Lights

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The hoilday season is upon us and people at the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens at the Historical Bamboo Farms want to invite you out for a visit.

They are getting geared up to hold their annual December Nights and Holiday Lights Spectacular, which is a light display covering six acres. It is held in conjunction with the ground breaking of the new education and visitors center at the gardens.

"This is going to be like the domino that just starts a bunch of wonderful things happening here at the gardens. From the children's garden to shade garden to formal garden, trustee garden, all these are ready and have been funded, kind of waiting for this visitor and education center to have it's ground breaking, to get built and then to kick off," said Norman Winters, Director of Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens.

December Nights and Holiday Lights will be open for viewing Thursdays through Sundays beginning November 29 through December 22, and Monday and Tuesday, December 23rd and 24th.
