The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of Margarita Elena Gonzalez-Almazan, 47, of Bluffton and her boyfriend Osman Galicia-Escobedo, 40.

Gonzales-Almazan was last seen at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday at a family party she had hosted at the Shady Glen Community Center.

Family members say Gonzales-Almazan was last seen with Galicia-Escobedo at both the party and in her home when guests departed.

Family members said the two were seen arguing over the course of a few weeks.

Family members became concerned when Gonzalez-Almazan failed to make contact and was unable to be reached by phone all day Sunday. When family went to Galicia-Escobedo's residence at Simmons Cay Apartments, his roommate said he had not been home since Saturday night.

No contact has still been made. Galicia-Escobedo is known to drive a gray 2001 4-door Dodge Stratus with South Carolina license plate DMR 686.

Gonzales-Almazan is being considered a missing and endangered person as the circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious in nature.

Galicia-Escobedo is being sought for questioning because he was the last known person to have contact with her.

Gonzales-Almazan is a Hispanic female, approximately 5'2 and 130 pounds with shoulder length black hair. She was last seen wearing a green blouse, white pants and a black bomber style jacket with white lining.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either Gonzalez-Almazan or Galicia-Escobedo to contact either Investigator Cpl. B. Cooler at 843.255.3423, Capt. B. Bromage at 843.816.8013, or Crimestoppers.
