Posted: Updated:
EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Funding for transportation, education, healthcare and support for economic development will all be topics of conversation Thursday morning at Effingham County's annual Eggs and Issues breakfast. There are going to be a lot more of these panel discussions as January draws near.

The annual event is an opportunity to visit with our state legislators and hear their responses to current issues and questions concerning Effingham County. State Senator Jack Hill and State Representatives Jon Burns and Bill Hitchens, will be in attendance and will address the audience and answer questions.

This will start the conversation heading into the 2014 session of the Georgia General Assembly. Chamber President Dinah King is anticipating a record turn out this year.

Those interested in the state of Effingham County and how it will be impacted during the legislative session are invited to attend. It starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Effingham College and Career Academy on Hwy. 21 in Rincon. Breakfast cost $12 for chamber members and $15 for non-members.
