BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office found the cellphone of a Bluffton woman who has been missing since Sunday.

According to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, Margarita Gonzalez and her boyfriend Osman Escobedo were last seen at a her grandson's birthday party at her house.

Margarita Gonzalez's phone was located near the Lemon Island Bridge and Okatie.

Her family said it's not like her to go days without talking to them.

Her son Jonathan Manrique told WTOC that her boyfriend's phone was left in his jacket at the house.

The last time Manrique saw his mother was at about 3 a.m. Sunday. He said she and Escobedo were having an intense conversation.

Deputies are looking to question Escobedo.

"Prior to her disappearance there had been some domestic issues with her boyfriend," said Beaufort County Sheriff's Office spokesperson, Robin McIntosh.

Escobedo's roommates tell investigators they haven't seen him since he left their apartment Saturday evening.

Investigators said Gonzales is considered a missing and endangered person at this time, because they're not sure what happened yet.

Anyone with information about Escobedo can contact the BCSO or call Crimestoppers at 1.888.CRIME.SC.
