Items, clothing sizes still needed to help apartment fire victims

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The outpouring of support for the families affected by the Crown Villa Apartment fire has been great, but some items are still needed, including:

Gift cards to grocery stores and stores like WalMart, Target and Dollar General.

Clothing, including:

Shirts-

Women's - Small, Large, XL

Teenage Girl's - Medium, XL

Men's - Medium, Large

Boy's- 3T, Kids 6-7

Pants-

Women's- 3, 10, 11, 12, 14, Petite 14, 16, 18

Teenage Girls- Petite 14, 16 Regular, 9/10

Men's- W36 L32, W34/36 L32, W32 L30

Boy's- 2T, 7 Kids

Shoes-

Women's- 6, 7.5, 8.5, 9, 10

Teenage Girls-  8.5, 9, 10W

Men's- 9.5, 10

Boy's- 8 toddler 13-13.5 toddler

All donations can be dropped off at Rachael's 1190.

    Chatham County leaders have decided against using the city of Savannah for police services in the unincorporated part of the county after February 1st. 

    Instead, they're asking the sheriff for help in a last-ditch effort to patrol that area. The sheriff says this is the first time they've asked for his help in the whole demerger process.

    There was really no other name that would do for the park that was re-dedicated in the Marsh Bluff/Runaway Point community on Friday.

    Neighborhood leaders and members of the community gathered at what is now known as Retha Mae McCoy Community Park renamed for the woman who worked for nearly three decades to get children in the Runaway Point Community a place to play.
