Public invited to vote for best art in City's College Art Contest

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The City of Savannah received 83 submissions in the College Art Contest for original student artwork.

Students from Savannah Technical College, Armstrong Atlantic State University and Savannah College of Art & Design participated in the competition depicting the beauty of Savannah's historic City Hall.

The public can view the submissions and vote online at www.savannahga.gov/artcontest. Voting will be open to the public through Dec. 19.

The best peices will be featured in an upcoming special exhibit highlighting this important landmark building.

The City is also holding a second art contest for high school student artwork depicting the beauty of the historic squares and parks for another City Hall exhibit. All Chatham County high school students can submit the artwork through Jan. 31, 2014.
