FORT STEWART (WTOC) -

A man arrested in Alabama for a murder on Fort Stewart has waived his right to a detention hearing in Alabama, where he was arrested.

Carl Swain will now be transported from Jasper, AL to the Southern District of Georgia.

The FBI has sealed all of the other information on this case, including all of the information about the murder.

However, the body of a man in his 20's was found near Holbrook Pond on Fort Stewart approximately a week ago. At this point, it is not known if Swain's arrest is related to the body found.

A local newspaper in Jasper has reported that Swain has been in trouble with the law in the past. He has been charged with crimes like theft, aggravated assault and domestic violence. Many of those arrests were made in Florida.

The FBI has said that it should take a week to get Swain to the Savannah area to face the murder charge.
