**TWICKERS HAS BEEN ADOPTED!  Click here to meet the other 12 Strays of Christmas who are still looking for homes!**

(WMC-TV) – Have you thought about opening up your heart and your home to a sweet animal in need this holiday season?

For the second year, Action News 5 is teaming up with the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County to bring you "The 12 Strays of Christmas."

During the 12 Strays of Christmas, you will meet 12 animals in need of homes this holiday season. We will introduce you to a new pet each day through December 22. And each pet featured in the "12 Strays of Christmas" comes with a very special adoption fee of just $12, which includes vaccination shots, spaying/neutering, and microchipping.

Meet Twickers

Twickers is a 2-year-old male white and seal cat with beautiful blue eyes. When he arrived at the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County in July 2012, he was horribly emaciated and suffering from internal parasites.

For a while, he seemed convinced that breakfast would evaporate if he didn't eat it fast enough, but at last, he learned that it would keep coming every day. Now, he is a happy and healthy cat!

Twickers gets along with other cats and everyone he has met so far. He is very patient and easygoing and he is ready to find his forever home.

If you would like to visit Twickers, stop by the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County, located at 935 Farm Road.

The $12 adoption fee for Twickers includes the following:

* Spay/neuter surgery

* Age appropriate vaccines

* Microchip for permanent identification
