The Savannah-Chatham school board is having its last meeting Wednesday before voting on attendance zone changes in West Chatham.
They will also discuss updates on programs such as the education special purpose local option sales tax and the progress they are making on academic goals throughout the county.
The Student Learning Objectives is one of the programs that was implemented last year in all the schools. This is part of the Teacher Keys Evaluation System which measures teachers' effectiveness.
Parents from the Pooler and Port Wentworth areas are expected to address their questions and concerns to the board about the proposed plans to rezone students in West Chatham.
This is the last chance for parents to talk to the board. There were three public forum meetings in November and there was an online survey. The board is taking all concerns into consideration and making some revisions to the plan.
The final plan will be presented and voted on Dec. 18.
