CLAXTON, GA (WTOC) -

A community will come together Thursday to take a stand against violence after two deadly shootings took place in the same Claxton neighborhood within the past two months.

The most recent shooting took the life of 30-year-old Bryan Mobley, shot and killed at a home along Oak Street on Dec. 2.

On Thursday, the community is saying no to violence with a meeting at First African Church. It's scheduled to start at 6 p.m. with the Georgia NAACP president serving as the keynote speaker. Other city leaders, pastors, local law enforcement, families of the victims, churches and all concerned residents will also be in attendance.
