Hinesville man arrested on auto break-in charges

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

A man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a vehicle break-in at the Copper Beech Townhomes on Statesboro Place Circle.

Statesboro police responded at about 5:10 a.m. Dec. 11 on a report of someone entering vehicles at the complex. When officers approached him, the man took off. Officers ran after him and placed him under arrest.

Aaron Lee Brusso, 19, of Hinesville, was arrested on eight counts of entering auto, one count of possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, one count of possession of tools for the commission of a crime, one count of obstruction of a law enforcement officer, one count of concealing identity by wearing a mask and one count of possession of alcohol by consumption (under 21).

Brusso was taken to the Statesboro Police Dept. The case was turned over to Det. Tommy Brown.  More charges are expected. Several cases of entering autos and criminal attempts at entering auto under investigation.
