Effingham County Sheriff's Office arrests three on meth related charges

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Three people, including a repeat offender, face several methamphetamine charges Thursday after the Effingham County Sheriff's Office located a methamphetamine lab Wednesday in the 200 block of Waldhour Road.

"Tuesday night an Effingham County Sheriff's patrol deputy conducted an investigative stop and discovered a large amount of pseudoephedrine inside of the vehicle. Investigators were called to the scene and began their investigation which led them to the lab on Waldhour Road", Sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor said.

Brandon Smith, 28, of Rincon, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful sale of pseudoephedrine and unlawful use of a communication device.

Smith, a repeat offender, is currently on parole for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Jeffrey Sanders, 32, of Rincon, and Michelle Smith, 24, of Guyton, were also arrested on methamphetamine related charges, including conspiracy to commit a drug related offense and unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine.

All three are currently being held in the Effingham County Jail.
