POOLER, GA (WTOC) -

An Atlanta man was carrying arrested and charged after carrying marijuana in his suitcase at the Savannah-Chatham, according to the Chatham-Savannah County Narcotics Team.

Adrian Zackery is charged with trafficking marijuana. Agents discovered 45 pounds of marijuana contained in vacuum sealed bags in two of his three suitcases, according to the CNT. The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is $180,000.

The CNT, the Chatham County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit and the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport Police Dept. worked together in the bust.

A sheriff's office K-9 handler and dog were alerted to drugs in at least one of Zackery's suitcases after it was unloaded from his flight, according to the CNT. The flight originated from San Jose, CA and connected in Atlanta.

Zackery was detained when he tried to get his luggage. The search of his luggage was refused, but a warrant was obtained and the search was conducted.

Zackery is being held at the Chatham County Detention Center. His arraignment hearing will be held Friday.
