ATLANTA (WTOC) -

Friday the 13th could be the luckiest day of the year for a jackpot that can be won by a single annuity winner.

Georgia Lottery officials have announced that as a result of high sales, the Mega Millions jackpot has jumped again, now at $425 million for Friday's drawing.

The jackpot began rolling Oct. 4 and has now rolled over 20 times.

Mega Millions offers two jackpot payment options: the $425 million annuity prize paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual graduated payments; or the cash option, which is approximately $228 million.

It only takes $1 to play Mega Millions for a chance to win big. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.
