Missing Bluffton Woman's family still searching

Posted: Updated:
BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

It's been almost two weeks since Margarita Gonzalez and her boyfriend Osman Galicia-Escobedo disappeared from her Bluffton home, and still no clue as to where they could be.

Now Gonzalez's family has joined the search.

They've posted missing persons flyers up throughout Beaufort County and in Savannah, hoping someone with answers will come forward.

Galicia-Escobedo's car was found in Savannah on Tuesday, and last week investigators found Gonzalez's phone near the Lemon Island bridge.

"I really want to find my mom," said Joanthan Marinque, Gonzalez's son.

Gonzalez and Galicia-Escobedo were having a fight the last time Gonzalez's son saw her. Investigators are now calling their disappearance suspcious.  Galicia-Escobedo is a person of interest.

Marinque said the family is trying to live their normal lives, but as the holiday's get closer, the void of not having his mother here gets bigger.

"If she doesn't appear, we're not going to have a holiday," he said.

The family is asking for help from people in the community. If you would like to help them, email Marinque at jhonny_marinque@yahoo.com.

If you have any information, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 1.888.CRIME.SC or the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
