Driver services upgrades security on computers

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (WTOC) -

The Georgia Dept. of Driver Services has upgraded the security on its public computer system at some locations.

This will allow customers a more secure way to print information required on site.

Under new federal homeland security requirements, drivers are required to show several documents many people forget to bring. The ability to print personal documents could eliminate the need for a second trip to the dds office.

Officials say the new system will let customers fax, mail or upload necessary personal information instead of doing so in person.
