BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) -

There will be another meeting held to discuss religion in the schools in Bulloch County.

The county got caught up in some confusing messages over the past few weeks, particularly with what teachers can and can't do when it comes to expressing their religious beliefs.

Liberty Institute is pleased with the decision of the Bulloch County Board of Education to issue a notice supporting its teachers and staff's religious liberty but they say it needs to go further.

"We are grateful to see the board of education in Bulloch County begin to restore the trust of its teachers and community by affirming their commitment to the religious liberty of its employees and students," stated Liberty Institute officials.

A public information session will be held on Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria of the William James Educational Complex. This is the same facility where the board meeting was held on Dec. 5 where the board responded to some of these issues.
