LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The members of the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Markers Core Team were awarded with the 2013 ICF President's Award during the team's December 2013 meeting in Prague, Czech Republic. Each year, the president of ICF Global presents an individual or group with the ICF President's Award in recognition of outstanding work to promote coaching in a humanitarian capacity.
The Markers Core Team members and 2013 President's Award honorees are:

Since the inception of ICF's credentialing program, providing an accurate assessment of each applicant's coaching performance has been central to the credentialing process. To this end, the ICF utilizes a small team of trained volunteer assessors to evaluate the performance of credentialing candidates.
Since 2011, the ICF Markers Core Team has led efforts to revise ICF's oral-assessment evaluation system and improve training for volunteer assessors. The intention is to develop and implement an evaluation process that is fair, consistent, valid, reliable, repeatable and defensible. This, in turn, will support the ICF's stated strategic goal of constructing a global-standards system in service of advancing the coaching profession and, in turn, supporting the flourishing of humanity.
