A unique Christmas walking tour in downtown Savannah allows participants to see, smell, taste, touch and hear all about an authentic Christmas in Savannah.
The walking tour focuses on the childhood memories of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol".
"Savannah, Georgia was founded by James Edward Oglethorpe partly in principle to care for the needy in many ways," said Phil Sellers, owner and operator of Old City Walking Tours. "One hundred and ten years later, when Charles Dickens writes 'A Christmas Carol' there were parallels, and the story is about a turning of hearts."
Old City Walking Tours and Savannah Cultural Heritage Tours will be taking groups of 15 people each Monday through Saturday of December at 5:30 p.m. and reservations are required.
