The Alabama football team practiced twice on Wednesday in the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility, focusing on fundamentals before beginning game preparations for its matchup with Oklahoma in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The Crimson Tide and Sooners will
meet in the 80th installment of the bowl game on Thursday, Jan. 2,
at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
For the second time in as many days, Alabama had four players named All-Americans, this time by the American Football Coaches Association Football Bowl Subdivision coaches.
The Tide was represented by senior quarterback AJ McCarron and junior lineman Cyrus Kouandjio on offense, while senior linebacker C.J. Mosley and junior defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Dix represented the defense.
Alabama is the first
school to place four players on the AFCA All-America Team in two separate
years, as it had four selections in 2008 with offensive lineman Andre Smith,
center Antoine Caldwell, defensive lineman Terrence Cody and defensive back
The Tide now
practices once daily through Monday, Dec. 23, before breaking for the holidays.
