Man sought for questioning in Hardeeville burglaries

HARDEEVILLE, SC (WTOC) -

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for questioning in connection with several burglaries that occurred in the Hardeeville area.

The man is described as 6-6'2 tall and weighs 250-275 lbs. He was captured on surveillance and was last seen wearing a dark color long-sleeved shirt with a white shirt underneath, dark-colored pants and a gray knit hat cap pulled down just above the eyes. The video shows his pushing a shopping cart filled with groceries.

The man in the video used two Target gift cards that had been from a home, according to the sheriff's office.

    Subtropical Storm Alberto continues to bring heavy rain and a high risk for rip currents to the Gulf Coast.  Alberto is just west of Tampa and moving to north by northwest at 12mph.  Peak winds are 50 mph and no significant strengthening is expected as we head into Monday.
