CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Two people were arrested Friday in connection with a drug investigation by the Major Case Unit of the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team.

The CNT received information that Ashley Garrod Daniels, 35, was selling cocaine from his West Chatham apartment, according to the CNT.

The CNT took Daniels into custody and seized an estimated 2 ounces of cocaine that was in his possession.

Another person inside the apartment Tessa Marion Ginn, 29, would not let agents into the unit, but assured them there were no drugs inside, according to the CNT.

Agents then obtained a search warrant and searched the apartment and 8.5 ounces of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and several pills were found, according to the GBI.

Both Daniels and Ginn were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine and awaiting their arraignment at the Chatham County Detention Center.
