SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A portion of I-16 westbound is back open after being closed for over 3 hours after a wreck involving a tractor trailer.

It happened shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday at I-16 westbound between exit 164B at Lyons Parkway to exit 162 at Chatham Parkway. A tanker jackknifed across both lanes of the highway and overturned, spilling fuel and oil onto the road. Hazmat crews reponded to assist with clean-up.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.

Savannah-Chatham Metro had that portion of I-16 westbound closed for several hours to allow for clean-up. The road re-opened to traffic at 7 a.m.
