BAXLEY, GA (WTOC) -

Loved ones of Christopher Yarborough gathered at the site where he died to remember him and pray that his murder will be solved.

Yarborough and two other people were shot in the parking lot of Peppers, a former nightclub in Baxley. It happened Dec. 26, 2009 and no one has been arrested in the case.

Friends and relatives lit candles and released balloons in his memory. They hope the public display of grief jogs someone's memory.

"No matter how little, how much, or how big, anything could help. It may go with someone else to be a major piece of the puzzle," explained Yarborough's mother, Sabrina Summersett.

Baxley police chief James Godfrey told WTOC that the case may be cold, but it isn't closed.

"We have gone to Vidalia, we've gone to Brunswick, we've been to the prisons because information led us to someone who'd been locked up since the murder," Godfrey said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Baxley police at 912.367.8305.
