A late night crash in Chatham County leaves two people injured.
The Georgia State Patrol says a red pickup truck was going the wrong way on Hwy 204, near the Hwy 17 ramp, and caused a head-on collision around midnight. The driver was traveling east in the westbound lanes around midnight and nearly hit a McIntosh Co. ambulance. After the near collision with the ambulance, the pickup truck then slammed head-on into a Dodge Charger.
Investigators suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck is being treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge suffered minor injuries.
