Family of missing woman awaits ID in Japan

Pastor Joe Clifford knows the agony Janice and Larry Cribbs have felt since the disappearance of their daughter from a U.S. air base in Okinawa, Japan.

Kelli Cribbs Abad has been missing since October 2011. Her SUV was found off base at an ocean side cliff, but there was no sign of the wife and mother of two.

"There's hardly a day that goes by that somebody doesn't ask me if I've heard any more about Kelli," Clifford told WTOC.

A recent discovery of unidentified human remains in Okinawa has prompted Kelli's military friends and relatives to wonder if it is her. Clifford said that speculation has prompted mixed emotions for her parents.

"We just pray for them and the outcome and they need some closure and we're praying that they can find out something pretty soon from OSI, NCIS or whoever," he noted.

Janice Cribbs has maintained a Facebook page that pleads for any information in Kelli's disappearance and asks friends and supporters to help bring more attention and resources to the investigation.

The page contains contact info for the appropriate senators and representatives:

U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson - 770.661.0743.

U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss - 706.-650.1555.

U.S. Representative John Barrow - 706.722.4494.

Anyone with possible information about her disappearance is asked to contact investigators at
