Residents evacuated after natural gas line clipped

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Residents of a Savannah trailer park were evacuated Monday morning after a natural gas line was clipped.

A natural gas line was clipped by a construction crew near the Azalea Plaza Trailer Park on Ogeechee Road, which caused the service to be interrupted in the area.

Some residents were evacuated as a precaution, but Atlanta Natural Gaslight shut down the line within 45 minutes of the reported leak.

Residents have reportedly been allowed to reenter their homes.
