Contractor arrested for theft in Bluffton subdivision

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Zachary Perryman was arrested by Bluffton Police Monday for eight counts of petit theft and two counts of grand larceny.

Perryman was caught stealing approximately $15,000 worth of lighting fixtures from various yards in the Palmetto Bluff neighborhood.

The thefts began in October and continued until Perryman was arrested. He was a private contractor working in the neighborhood when he was stealing these items.

Bluffton Police worked closely with Palmetto Bluff Security over the past month while the case was being investigated.

Perryman was transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and is being held on $77,000 cash bond.
