HARDEEVILLE, SC (WTOC) -

In the Lowcountry, a $300,000 Palmetto Cash 5 lotto ticket remains unclaimed after nearly a week.

The lucky ticketholder matched all 5 numbers on Dec. 27: 3, 6, 8, 11 and 19. They also "powered-up" for an extra $1, boosting the prize to $300,000.

The owners of the Gulf Gas Station in Hardeeville had no idea they sold the winning ticket until WTOC showed up.

The anticipation is building about the lucky Palmetto Cash 5 lotto ticket. This is the first time the Gulf Gas Station has sold one worth this much.

"Hey! I wish it was me," said customer Ieasha Ling.

"That is fabulous, I am so happy for whoever won, I hope they do some great things with it," she added.

Ling stops by almost everyday to play lotto. She claimed a much smaller prize from the gas station Thursday.

"Four dollars, but hey, it's a start to the New Year!"

New Jersey native John Gordon says it's a tradition for him to buy lotto tickets in every state he travels.

"Powerball, Cash 5 and Mega Millions," he said.

He says he'd spend the money a little differently if he won.

"I'm retired. If I won, I'd buy a great big RV and travel the country," said Gordon.

The Gulf Gas Station's management said they're just hoping it's someone local who will keep the taxdollars here.

"I'm so happy. So, so happy for people to win in this store," said owner Pravin Patel.

As for Ling, she's got one simple message for the winner:

"Hey! I'm next door! Find me when you win!" she said.

In case you are the winner, you have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim your prize.
