Bring One for the Chipper, Christmas tree recycling event

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The City of Savannah is reminding people to bring their Christmas trees to the annual Bring One for the Chipper recycling event on Saturday.

The mulch can be used for roadways, landscaping, fertilizers and even your own backyard.

The free service is available at the following locations:

-Home Depot, 11180 Abercorn Rd.

-Home Depot, 190 Pooler Parkway

-Home Depot, 1901 Victory Dr.

-Dean Forest Landfill, 1325 Dean Forest Rd.

-Bacon Park Transfer Station, Shorty Cooper Rd.

You can take your tree to any of these locations on Jan. 4, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
