CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

More than 400 people showed up to run or walk in the Yates Astro Resolution 5K for the Bethesda Home for Boys. The race was presented by the Woman's Board of Bethesda, serving their mission to enrich and improve the lives of students of Bethesda Academy.

Participants travelled down a 3.1 mile course, following the perimeter around the Bethesda Academy campus. The race also served to emphasize living a healthy lifestyle during the new year.

"That's sort of our initiative at our school, too. To make sure our young people grow up healthy and active, and so this sort of just ties right into that", says David Tribble, President of Bethesda Academy.

WTOC's own Pat Prokop ran in the race while Sonny Dixon served as the Master of Ceremonies. All of the money raised at the race will help benefit the students at Bethesda.
