Public invited to First Tuesday Tour of Savannah City Hall

Residents and visitors will be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at Savannah City Hall, and view special exhibits highlighting chapters of Savannah's history, during the First Tuesday Tour of City Hall on Jan. 7.

The free tour will begin at noon in the City Hall Rotunda and will last less than an hour. Space is limited and reservations are required. Register online at or Contact City of Savannah Research Library and Municipal Archives Director Luciana Spracher at 912.651.6411 or at to make reservations. 

The tour provides an opportunity to view City Hall's history and art exhibits, including two in the Council Chamber honoring the S.S. James Oglethorpe, Georgia's First Liberty Ship, and the City's International & Sister-City Relationships. In the 1st floor Rotunda, tour guests will view a night photography exhibit "Savannah Squares by Night" by Jamie Rose Farreh. This will be the last tour to feature the Liberty Ship and night photography on display.
