SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

People gathered together in Daffin Park on Sunday for the 2nd Annual Memory Run for Emma Blu, along with the Edison Kate's Kids Run.

Emma Blu passed away last year, and family and friends came together to form this run to honor her memory. And now, a year later, the run has gotten larger, with even more people there to support the family and to keep Emma's memory alive.

"It is incredible, it is humbling and overwhelming, and it highlights everything that is beautiful about people ministering to people. We were prayed over, fed, comforted, loved on, and to this day, over a year later, we still have not had one need go unmet by somebody just wanting to do something," said Allyson Harvin, Emma Blu's mother.

Proceeds for the event will benefit the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society of Savannah.
