Tift County senior and Georgia Tech commit Tadric Jackson is pushing his brother to fill his shoes once he graduates.
Tyrie Jackson is currently a sophomore and is just starting to receive playing time.
"He brings a lot of energy off the bench," said head coach Eric Holland. "We think he is the point guard of the future but he is just playing behind LaDarius Stewart, who I feel is one of the best point guards in the state."
The Jackson family has a tradition of playing for the Blue Devils. Their older brother, Demetric, played for Tifton as well before heading to Troy University to play as a wide receiver. Tyrie says they form a bond on the court as well.
"On the court, we just have that connection that ... it's just amazing," the younger Jackson said.
Tadric is ranked No. 68 in ESPN's senior class rankings. His brother doesn't have the same high-billing but the future Yellow Jacket says his time will come.
"He just got to let it come to him," Tadric said. "I think he will make it, I have confidence in him."
Jackson led the Blue Devils with 20 points in their win over Camden Saturday night.
