SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Jan. 6 motion hearing for Anthony Parrish and Nathaniel Johnson, the two suspects accused of stealing a police car, leading police on a chase on I-16 and shooting an officer, has been pushed to a later date.

Police say Parrish and Johnson stole a car and when police stopped them, they jumped out and ran. That's when Parrish stole a Metro cruiser and took off. He made it to Interstate 16 near the Chatham Parkway interchange when he lost control and ran into the woods. That is when gunshots rang out, injuring a Metro officer.

Parrish and Johnson are facing more charges now, including armed robbery and hijacking a vehicle.

The motion hearing for Parrish and Johnson is now scheduled for March 3, 2014.
