One suspect has been arrested in connection with the Saturday afternoon grand larceny from a Bluffton jewelry store.

Margot Carol Tennant, 22, was arrested Tuesday morning on one count of grand larceny and one count of child neglect.

Investigators identified Tennant and her boyfriend, 29-year-old Jason Grant Williams as the suspects who stoll an estimated $10,000 in jewelry from a store in Moss Creek Village.

At 1:30 p.m., Williams and Tennant, accompanied by their 4-month-old daughter, walked into the SC Gold and Silver Buyers at 1541 Fording Island Rd. The store manager said that Williams was a repeat customer of the store, selling jewelry on several occasions. He did the same on Saturday, trading silver pieces for cash.

After selling the silver, Williams asked about another piece of jewelry in a different case. The manager said that Tennant left the store with the child and got into a green SUV.

Tennant then drove the SUV and parked parallel to the store front.

Williams then grabbed a display case and ran out of the store to the waiting SUV, which then sped off onto U.S. 278, almost causing an accident.

The investigation remains active and investigators are still searching for Williams. He is wanted on grand larceny and child neglect charges. He is known to have ties to the Myrtle Beach area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Cpl. D. Nelson at 843.255.3412 or Crimsetoppers.
