Statesboro revokes club's alcohol license

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

City council voted unanimously to revoke the alcohol license of PrimeTime Lounge.

City attorney Alvin Leaphard told the mayor and council that the club's license holder had not informed the city of "significan partners" in their license application.

A Superior Court judge ordered the club closed in December at the city's request after police claimed they'd responded to numerous complaints on weekend nights due to noise, shots fired, and other issues.

In November, two men were shot in the shopping center where the club is located. One of those men ran to the club's parking lot for help and died enroute to the hospital.

The shooting remains under investigation.
