The city of Savannah has received several letters of intent to sue ever since former Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Chief Willie Lovett retired in September.

Most the claims involve sexual harassment and retaliation.

"Well I mean, they are just intents to sue. They are not lawsuits. I mean, when we are sued, we will be able to address those issues one way or the other. Obviously, we received people writing letters all the time. It is a part of doing businesses and those issues happen all the time," said Savannah City Councilman Van Johnson.

All of these police officers are represented by attorney William Claiborne.
