Store clerk recalls moments before shooting

The store clerk of the Exxon station says the shooter, who sent a man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, was a customer in the store just moments before the shooting happened.

"He bought just cigarettes and soda drinks," said the clerk.

The store clerk, who wanted to remain anonymous, says he didn't notice anything unusual about the suspect.

"He had a heavy jacket on, like a winter coat," said the clerk.

He says the victim was inside the store minding his own business playing on gambling machines.

"They never had a conversation or anything between the two," said the clerk. "[The suspect] he just came in, got his stuff and left."

That's when he says it all went wrong.

"I was up here checking out a customer and we heard four popping sounds," said the clerk.

He says he peaked out the window and couldn't believe what he saw.

"I saw a gentleman lying on the floor and called 911," said the clerk.
