Warriors put away Red Terrors

Jenkins looked to improve on its 11-1 record as the Warriors played host to the Glynn Academy Red Terrors.

With the Warriors on a fast break Eric Johnson fed Jamelle Lanier for the dunk and an early 4-3 lead.

On another break, Johnson feds Quentin Robbins for the tough layup and an 8-6 lead for Jenkins.

In the second quarter, the Warriors work it out front to Johnson for the three pointer, making it 16-8.

Jenkins cruised to the 67-33 win.

Rebels take down Wildcats

In Richmond Hill, the Wildcats played host to Effingham County.

Bill Henderson's Wildcats tried to pull off the upset as Richmond Hill's Daniel Wilder went in for the bucket as the Wildcats led by four early.

Back came the Rebels as Tanner Reid went in for the basket and the foul.

Then, off the loose ball, Jakeenan Gant goes in for the easy score.

Richmond Hill fought hard, but Effingham County went on to win 81-44.

Yellow Jackets earn win in Savannah

The Beach High Bulldogs played host to South East Bulloch Friday night, and in the first quarter the Yellow Jackets Daniel Kaelin Jones went inside for the basket.

Beach came back strong with the jumper by Xavier Truell, and then Darren McKinney went up strong with the put back.

South East Bulloch proved too strong and came to Savannah and got the tough win, 72-66.

Lamont Ballard led the way with 18 points for South East Bulloch.

Lady Cavs clips Tigers to improve to 6-1

Claxton visited Calvary Friday night feeling like they had unfinished business after losing three times to the Lady Cavs last season.

Brittany Griffin found Abigail Lewis on the inbounds pass underneath for two of her 18 points.

Devonna Brewton buried a three pointer as Claxton had the lead early in the second quarter.

Then Brewton fed Taylor Fiveash for the easy two underneath. That made it 11-9 Claxton.

The Lady Cavaliers stormed back with a steal by Jessica Lanier on the inbounds play as she went coast to coast to give the Lady Cavaliers the lead.

Calvary took the hard fought victory 57-50 and improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in Region 3-A.
