U of A makes top 20 on 'sugar baby' list

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

U of A has ranked on another list of top universities, though this one is for ‘sugar babies seeking sugar daddies'; the university was number 14 on the list.

This new ranking is according to a website called seekingarrangement.com.  For those who are not sure what a sugar baby is, it is a young woman and a sugar daddy is an older wealthy man.

The website that creates these arrangements has stated that the University of Arizona has had a 120 percent increase in women signing up.  It states the arrangements are less for sex and more for companionship.

"Obviously in any relationship, there will be sex involved if the connection is there," stated Jennifer Gwynn on the seekingarrangement.com website.  "But it is never an expectation that would obviously be illegal."

Tuition at the U of A is about $11,000 for in-state students, and sugar babies take in about $3,000 a month.

As of right now, more than 300 U of A female students are signed up as sugar babies.  The University of Central Florida takes the number one spot. Arizona State University is ranked as number 2.
