Johnson hosts Southeast Bulloch
In high school basketball, Johnson played host to Southeast Bulloch, where it was a close game at the half. Antwan Maxwell went in for the easy bucket. He led the way with 16 points tonight.
As one point game, Adrian Bonds tried for three downtown but it was no good, but Jamarey Lovett went up the middle with the put back. Johnson took its first lead of the half with the shot.
Tremble's wasn't done though, as he went in with the reverse for two of his 15 points on the night.
The Yellow Jackets didn't give up though, as Markel Ming went in for two at the buzzer to end the third quarter.
It was a close game, but the Atom Smashers walked away with the 57-52 win.
Islands High hosts New Hampstead
Islands High hosted New Hampstead Tuesday night.
Spencer Gooddine started off the scoring with a nice hook shot in the paint.
In the second, John mark Thrasher popped a jumper at the free throw line and drains the shot for the Sharks, making it 10-9 New Hampstead.
The Phoenix extended their lead when Oronte' Anderson fired a pass from the top of the key to Gooddine for the easy two.
New Hampstead went on to win this one 59-45 over Islands.
St. Vincent's hosts South Effingham
In girl's play, St. Vincent's played host to South Effingham.
In the fourth quarter, the Saints came up with the loose ball and Maggie Ianonne scored to cut the lead to five with 5:13 left in the game. Ianonne ended the night with 10 points.
The Lady Mustangs roared back as Shandrea Leverett got the bucket and the foul. She led all scorers with 24 points.
South Effingham took this one 47-36.
