GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville Police are searching for a person who robbed someone in a parking lot, leading to a SWAT situation on Wednesday, according to police.

Johnathan Bragg of the Greenville Police Department said they were called to the robbery in the parking lot of the Reserves at Cavalier apartments, and the victim said the robber may have gone into one of the apartments.

The victim told officers the man robbed him of cash, hit him and showed a gun.

The SWAT team was then called to the apartment complex, according to Bragg.

SWAT went into the apartment and set off flash bangs, but didn't find the suspected robber, Bragg said.

Police are still searching for the person at this time.

Mauldin Road, Cavalier Drive and other streets in the area were closed for several hours on Wednesday. Police reopened the roads at 5 p.m.
