One Savannah business celebrated Friday.
Old Town Trolley Tours received the city's quarterly Golden Broom Award. The City of Savannah Citizen Office and Keep Savannah Beautiful presents the award to businesses who keep their storefronts attractive, neat and clean.
"We show the city to about 300,000 people a year, and if the product is not looking good, they won't come back, won't tell their friends, and we die on the vine," said Old Town Trolley Tours General Manager Charlie Brazil. "So it's really important for us to be good stewards of the product that's out there, and that's the historic district."
A residential counterpart award, the Green Thumb Award, will be presented to Elizabeth Dunn during the Downtown Neighborhood Associations monthly meeting on Tuesday.
