Man wanted for series of crimes in Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

Thirty-three year old William Morriszie Fuller, also known as Willie James, is wanted by Beaufort County Sheriff's Office investigators on three counts of forgery, one count of shoplifting, and one count of second degree attempted burglary, all occurring on Hilton Head Island.  

Fuller forged three checks reportedly stolen from the home of an acquaintance between Dec. 11-13.

Fuller made each check out to himself, which totaled more than $1,500 in stolen funds.

Fuller was also indentified in video surveillance footage from a shoplifting at a CVS Pharmacy located at 10 Pope Ave. on Jan. 12.

Fuller was shown stealing five cartons of cigarettes valued at $269 total.

Fuller was again captured on video surveillance on Jan. 14 when he attempted to burglarize H&H Auto, located at 35 Hunter Rd. Fuller attempted to gain entry into the business by throwing a rock through the front window, but he fled the area after setting off the alarm. The business sustained an estimated $800 in damages.  

Fuller is known to frequent various residences in Cordillo Courts, located at 104 Cordillo Pkwy, and utilizes a beach cruiser style bicycle for transportation.
