BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

A court date is set for next month for a woman who was arrested and charged with child neglect after her child brought needles to preschool.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office said that a 4-year-old student at Christ Lutheran preschool went up to his teacher during nap time with two needles that he took out of his backpack.

The liquid inside the needles tested positive for heroin. Jenna George was then arrested and charged with child neglect.

Deputies searched the parent's house at Port Royal Plantation. They said several more needles were found, including one under the other child's bed.

The children, a 6 year old, 4 year old and 8 month old are now living with their grandmother.

George is out of jail. She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21.
