BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

You can now feel safer if you live in the Bluffton area.

Tuesday afternoon, representatives from Firehouse Subs presented firefighters with the Bluffton Township Fire District with state-of-the-art equipment: two thermal imaging cameras valued at close to $20,000.

The cameras can help firefighters locate victims faster and put out fires.

The Firehouse Subs "Public Safety Foundation" paid for the life saving equipment.

"The equipment came straight from the vendor, it was kind of like Christmas Day. You get a package in the mail, you get $20,000 worth of equipment. You couldn't ask for anything better than that, it was fantastic," said Rick Cramer, Deputy Chief of Operations for the Bluffton Township Fire District.

Since 2005, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has given out more than $700,000 in grant money in South Carolina.
