EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

An Effingham County woman was arrested Monday night for providing a minor with "spice", according to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.

Effingham Sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on Walter Samuel's Road on a report of a child that was injured after falling off of a golf cart.

"The investigation revealed that Tiffany Dayson, 22, of Springfield, gave a 16 year-old juvenile spice as they were riding on a golf cart," said Sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor. "The juvenile then became ill, jumped off of the golf cart, began hitting himself, and then became unconscious," Ehsanipoor said.

The child was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to recover.

Dayson was arrested and charged with cruelty to children and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Dayson is currently being held in the Effingham County Jail.
