PORT WENTWORTH, GA (WTOC) -

A homicide investigation is underway in Port Wentworth.

Port Wentworth Police Chief Matt Libby said officers got the call this past Saturday that a six-year-old child couldn't get his mom to respond.

When officers arrived at the home on Fox Glynn court, they found the body of Lisa Marie Pynn, 33, in the master bedroom.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday morning, and the coroner ruled her death a homicide.

Police do not currently have any suspects.

Pynn's husband was deployed in Afghanistan, but he is now home.

Port Wentworth Police aren't releasing how Pynn died or why she would have been targeted, they're only saying they are still in the early stages of the investigation.
