Calvary boys win 67-49 over South Effingham
In high school play tonight, Calvary traveled to South Effingham.
Early on, the Mustangs' Larry Tyson hit a three pointer, but Calvary came right back with Derek Kirkland, who caused the steal, who then fed it to A.J. Keene for the basket.
Later, Kirkland went baseline as Calvary goes on to win it 67-49.
Lady Mustangs win over Cavs as Tianna Germain passes 2,000 point mark
The girl's game came down to the closing moments as Calvary's Catie Thomas came up with the steal and cruised in to cut South Effingham's lead to one with 2:25 to go in the game.
Tianna Germain and her teammates were true at the free throw line though, as South Effingham won 44-42.
Germain finished with 11 points, passing the 2,000 point career mark.
